The effect of government spending on the economic growth of a sample of developing countries during the period (2005-2019) using panel data

Abstract

The study aims to highlight the impact of government spending on the economic growth of a sample of 15 developing countries during the period (2005-2019) using panel data, where the differentiation tests indicated the need to rely on the fixed effects model according to the (robust) method, which showed a good explanatory ability. The results of the estimation revealed a positive significant relationship of government spending towards economic growth, which is consistent with most of the previous studies and the Keynesian theory, which indicates that government spending represents one of the elements of effective aggregate demand, which is positively reflected on the gross domestic product
