http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/3931

The aim of the study is to analyze and study asset quality indicators in the Algerian banking sector through comparison between public banks and private banks during the period 2014-2022. The data was collected from the reports of the Bank of Algeria. With the adoption of three asset quality indicators (non-performing loans net of provisions to capital ratio NPL1 and the rate of non-performing loans ratio NPL2) according to the International Monetary Fund’s financial soundness indicators guide, and the indicator (the rate of non-performing loan provisions ratio NPLP) used by the Bank of Algeria), methods were used. Descriptive statistics to determine the mean, the maximum and minimum values of the indicators, and inferential statistics methods (t-test) to determine the differences between the average asset quality indicators of public banks and private banks. It was found that there are statistically significant differences for the (NPL1) indicator and the (NPL2) indicator between public banks and private banks and in favor of public banks, which means that they are more financially stable than their private counterparts, while there are no statistically significant differences for the NPLP indicator between public banks and private banks. As a conclusion, public and private banks have assets of acceptable quality.
Abdelkader BADENE Boulerbah BOUKHARI

http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/3895

The study addressed the impact of agricultural imports and agricultural exports on Algeria's economic growth during the period 1990-2022 using Bounds testing approaches for the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) methodology, where a standard model of real GDP was built as a function of the two independent variables (agricultural exports and agricultural imports), and the study concluded that there is a significant inverse relationship between agricultural exports and real GDP; which reflects the weak contribution of agricultural production in the formation of GDP, and a direct relationship between agricultural imports and GDP.

The study found a dynamic short-term relationship where the speed of adjustment to equilibrium in the long run was 9.4% (about 10 years and 7 months).
Chafik BOUBERRIMA Yassine MOSTEFAI

http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/3896

This study aims to highlight the role of economic freedom in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) in Algeria. It utilizes four international indices that measure various aspects of economic freedom and assess the suitability of the business climate for investment by analyzing Algeria's performance in these indices. The study finds that the volume of FDI flows is positively correlated with the degree of economic freedom. This is because economic freedom provides a favorable, stimulating, and encouraging environment for investors and companies to invest their money in the economy. Algeria's performance has been weak in most of the indices, indicating that it suffers from a low level of economic freedom. This reflects an investment climate that is not qualified to business operations and discourages FDI, with restrictions that limit economic activity and the freedom of individuals and companies to conduct their business
Anter KAHLAT Kamel CHERAYETT

This study aimed to examine the impact of organizational culture on the organizational commitment of individuals within Algeria Telecom – Laghouat, as well as the relationship between them. To achieve this, we conducted a survey distributed to a sample of the company's employees. The study revealed that all components of organizational culture values were at a moderate level, and a positive level of organizational commitment among its employees. Through the study, we identified a statistically significant correlation between the two variables, furthermore the study, utilizing gradual regression analysis (stepwise), identified that only two values, namely efficiency and strength, significantly influenced organizational commitment. Conversely, the remaining values (favoritism, reward, order, effectiveness, teamwork, and justice) showed no significant impact.
Cherifa BOUSAID1Rais MERRAD

Recent events, especially the Russian-Ukrainian War have demonstrated the significance of energy resource, which is generally regarded as one of the most fundamental components of global economies and is classified as a strategic component of economic development. In this study, we employed the artificial neural networks to predict the electricity consumption of Algeria using annual data 1980 to 2022. After discussing this method's methodology and the diagnostic phase, the model's Multi-Layer Perceptron neural networks (MLP) were chosen. MLP 3-1-1 was found to be the most effective model. In the forecasting phase, the electricity consumption energy in Algeria was predicted to be 76,83 billion TWh in 2023 and 79,47 billion TWh in 2024, an increase of 3,434%.
Salaheddine SARI-HASSOUN Mohamed Abdeldjalil NAMANE Abdelghani MALIOUI

http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/3902

New technologies have enabled numerous advances in all areas, and the confinement that the world has undergone has highlighted this fabulous tool. NICTs have prevented the global economy from collapsing, thanks in particular to teleworking and distance learning. Algeria has not left behind, since E-learning was introduced and has become widespread despite the end of confinement. The question that arises is this: how do teachers and students perceive these changes, which have been imposed on all Algerian universities in a fairly short space of time, without giving those concerned (teachers, students, admiring staff) time to adapt to them and learn how to use them without prior training? To answer this question, we decided to carry out a survey among students and teachers.
Rosa TITOUCHE Lounas HADDADI

http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/3903

There is no doubt that estimating the equation of carbon dioxide emissions per capita in Algeria and comparing it with one of the largest countries causing these emissions helps a lot in avoiding the negative environmental waste resulting from it. Therefore, comparative standard studies continuously occupy a special space, and impose themselves as an important scientific branch, given the considerable role played by the power values of this dangerous gaseous substance, like other environmental, economic and social phenomena, in drawing and directing ideal programs and policies.

Through this study, we will try to narrate the reality of carbon dioxide emissions and compare the individual’s share of carbon dioxide emissions between Algeria and the United States by taking the past of this phenomenon as a basis for estimating its equation in terms of some economic variables according to the literature of the study using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model.
Merwan Haid

http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/3904

Space in economic analysis has gone from a marginal vision to a general recognition, with the principle that no economic phenomena exist without a specific relationship to territories, regions, and rural areas. The study aims to demonstrate the shift in the economy from land and raw materials and the logistics of means of transport that have emptied certain territories to an immaterial economy that provides territories with a new future.

Philipe Aydalot emphasized the foundations of a new approach to the "territorial economy" through the concept of an innovative environment: in a word. This territorial environment promotes collective learning processes among local actors. Using this historical method, we demonstrate that development is no longer conceived as the result of a simple process of spatial diffusion of new technologies but a process of adaptation and creative adoption by local production systems that incorporate them according to their needs and culture.
Mounir Louadj Souhila Kirat
