Using annual data on the volume of agricultural production as a dependent variable, and the annual average temperature and agricultural insurance premiums as independent variables, the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model was applied. This research paper concluded that agricultural production has a long-term inverse relationship with its explanatory variables, due to the insufficiency of agricultural insurance to cover all climate risks if they occur, which led to an exacerbation of the negative impact of climate change, while a direct relationship was found between the model variables in the short term, reflecting the integration of temperature and agricultural insurance in providing a stable and stimulating environment for agricultural production. It was also shown that the correction coefficient is negative and significant, as the speed of adaptation to reach the equilibrium situation was estimated at 4 months and 18 days.
Maroua Tamini , Oussama Ameur , Salim Lagoune Copyright (c) 2025 Maroua Tamini , Oussama Ameur , Salim Lagoune https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/4314 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Role of Agricultural Sector Development Strategy in the Diversification of Algerian Exports: -An Econometric Analytical Study (2000-2023)- http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/4313
This research investigates the role of export diversification within the framework of agricultural sector development as a means to enhance Algeria’s economic growth from 2000 to 2023. It explores the theoretical foundations of export diversification and evaluates Algeria’s diversification strategy by analyzing the contribution of key economic sectors (industry, tourism, and agriculture) alongside the Hirschman-Herfindahl index. The study examines the agricultural sector’s influence on export diversification through essential variables, including value addition, employment generation, public agricultural expenditure agricultural financing, and agricultural exports. The findings indicate that Algeria’s macroeconomic strategy plays a significant role in strengthening the agricultural sector and expanding exports. Furthermore, a relationship exists between agricultural sector dynamics and export diversification in both the short and long run within the Algerian economy.
NADJOUA Djedioui , SALAH-EDDINE Mansouri Copyright (c) 2025 NADJOUA Djedioui , SALAH-EDDINE Mansouri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/4313 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 A study about the relationship between the exports beyond petrol and the economic growth in Algeria- numerical study during the period ( 2000-2023 ) http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/4312
This study aims to highlight the relationship between the non-hydrocarbon export sector and economic growth in Algeria during the period from 2000 to 2023. Employing a standard approach and utilizing the VAR model with EViews 12 software, the study concludes that theresi no significant relationship between non-hydrocarbon exports and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This indicates that non-hydrocarbon exports have not yet reached the necessary level to effectively contribute to economic growth, as hydrocarbon exports continue to dominate the export sector in Algeria. Consequently, the study recommends the need to enhance the productive sectors aimed at export promotion to boost non-hydrocarbon exports.
mohamed SALMI , lakhdar ABIRAT Copyright (c) 2025 mohamed SALMI , lakhdar ABIRAT https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/4312 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 17:35:57 +0000 The effect of resources & capabilities on firm performance from the perspective of RBV - A systematic literature review http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/4308
Through a systematic literature review, this paper aims to explore resources and capabilities’ effects on firm performance from a resource-based perspective and build a bridge with related core publications. A total of 59 publications were published during the period (2006-2019), in peer-reviewed journals from the Web of Science are descriptively analyzed. The key findings indicate that resources and capabilities positively affect the firm’s performance. Based on the RBV, firm performance is enhanced by optimizing internal resources and capabilities, improving business processes, generating value through efficient resource management, and achieving strategic agility.
Nadia ADILA , Adel BOUMEDJANE Copyright (c) 2025 Nadia ADILA , Adel BOUMEDJANE https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/4308 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 10:53:19 +0000 The role of Maritime Training in Algeria in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/4310
Algeria has officially adopted the United Nations' 2030 Agenda and is committed to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 14, "Life Below Water," which concerns the maritime sector, a strategic component of the national economy. In this regard, several measures have been implemented, notably the training of maritime professionals to reduce accidents affecting the marine environment and contribute to addressing maritime challenges. This paper aims to examine the regulatory frameworks and policy orientations governing this field and to evaluate the nature and content of maritime training programs in order to determine their role in advancing the SDGs. Data were collected through a qualitative approach combining document analysis and interviews.

The findings reveal that Algeria has established strategic orientations for the maritime sector to address environmental challenges and mitigate the stagnation observed in SDG 14 progress. A legislative and institutional framework has been developed, and maritime training and research have been integrated into the strategies of higher education institutions. Regarding training programs, ENSM designs and offers degree, qualification, and certification programs to meet the sector’s needs. However, the study highlights a lack of international partnerships and the limited presence of social sciences and humanities courses in maritime training curricula. As for sustainable development concepts, the results show that they are integrated into certain modules of training programs, in addition to other seminars and study days organized to raise awareness of these issues.
Lydia Djennadi, Wissam Belimane, Linda Gardelle Copyright (c) 2025 Lydia Djennadi, Wissam Belimane, Linda Gardelle https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/4310 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Transition to Renewable Energy Economies and Its Role in Achieving Sustainable Development in Algeria http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/4311
The aim of this research was to investigate how Algeria's shift to renewable energy economies and attaining sustainable development in all three of its dimensions affect the country's economy, society, and environment. The analytical approach was adopted in this study. The results showed that renewable energy occupies an important position in Algeria through investment in renewable energy and enacting laws and decrees that support and finance institutions active in this field locally and internationally with the aim of transitioning to green and sustainable energy. This embodies governmental initiatives and policies to lessen reliance on fossil fuels and shows a clear political vision in the field of renewable energy. Additionally, the research revealed that in renewable energy help Algeria achieve the seventh aim of the Sustainable Development Goals in three areas: environmental protection against pollution, social development, and economic development.
Abdelkader NOUREDDINE Copyright (c) 2025 Abdelkader NOUREDDINE https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/djei/article/view/4311 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 12:05:44 +0000
