The effect of visual-motor exercises on developing agility and improving students' tennis volley performance.

Abstract

The study included the introduction and importance, where the importance of the study lies in the preparation of (visual-motor) exercises to achieve the desired goal, which is to develop agility and performance of the tennis volley. The problem of the study lies in the lack of use of visual-motor exercises by those in charge of the educational process. The most important goals were to prepare visual-motor exercises and identify the degree of agility. The researchers used the experimental method with pre- and post-tests. The study sample was third-year students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Kufa, to identify the extent of development of the study sample in the skill of the tennis volley. The most important conclusions were that visual-motor exercises have a positive impact on developing the agility of the study sample, that visual-motor exercises have a positive impact in improving the performance of the tennis volley for the study sample. The most important recommendations were the necessity of applying visual-motor exercises to learners, especially students of colleges and departments of physical education and sports sciences, and the necessity of paying attention to activating the role of visual-motor exercises in developing the accuracy of performing basic skills in tennis
