http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/ssj/article/view/3982

Modern approaches tended to activate educational practice, activate the learner, and invest in his previous acquisitions. That is an embodiment of the active learning based on building of learnings, not accumulating of informations, which the cognitive and social constructivism call for it. This philosophy is concerned with building the learner through his learnings by reorganizing the knowledge acquisitions within new learning processes. This is what is termed the concept of integration.

The integrative situation is one of the most important components of the competency approach. Rather, it is among its basic requirements that it work to embody it, as it requires active operations of employing previous acquisitions and using complex situations, it constitutes, in the end, a final competency aimed by the effective education.

This research paper falls within this context, which seeks to present the integrative situation in the context of the new reforms and to know the most important developments about it, and the requirements to achieve them in terms of teaching and assessment methods.

Through its general structure, the study aims to ascertain the reality of teaching the integrative situation in the average third-year language education in order to recognize obstacles and look forward to solutions and proposals.

We have concluded that, under second-generation reforms, integrative situation has taken on a new dimension centred on improvement, development and optimal use of acquisitions and instructions, but it still needs to develop content, diversify methods and employ educational media.
Hania MAIDI

http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/ssj/article/view/3983

The current paper aims to investigate some Arab culture of learning, it is common that achievement in Arab world ad attitudes towards learning are low. Yet, importing constructivist approaches is not beneficial, such as competency-based, objective, task-based and communicative approaches. The paper focuses on cognitive aspects of Arab learners as revealed by relevant literature, those qualities are so different from Western ones, as it is assumed by constructivist instruction. The results showed some constrains that hindered competency-based practices to take place or develop, so the educational reformers declared aims were not realized. The Arab culture of learning is examined through social constructivism, so it is actually reflect unavoidable cultural bias, it is recommended to address that problem from Arab culture itself.
Fekih KHOUADJA

http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/ssj/article/view/3992The Conceptualizations of Authority, Sovereignty, and the State in the Political Thought of Jean-Jacques Rousseau
http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/ssj/article/view/3993

The political thought of Jean-Jacques Rousseau is manifested in concepts rooted in the disparities among individuals and groups arising from the relationships inherent in various ideologies and political systems. These differences are shaped by the nature and origin of the state, which often comes at the expense of political systems characterized by a singular political authority. Rousseau's ideas are exemplified in the social contract that underpins the state, founded on popular and democratic principles. The foundational premise of the political hierarchy is the people, who constitute the bedrock of authority and its continuity as a sovereign state, supported by state apparatuses operated by the populace in accordance with this contract. This agreement signifies a total or partial delegation of power from the ruler to the governed, representing them within a unified political framework. This indicates the existence of legislative, executive, and judicial powers, whose roles within the political authority are evident. The political thought illustrated by Rousseau delineates a structure of the state based on the interactive relationships between the executive and legislative powers, which are realized only through popular sovereignty and an organized political authority that stands independently. This reflects a dynamic interaction within the body of authority grounded in civil society and laws adhering to democratic processes, despite differing ideological forms. Ultimately, this serves as a political foundation for the spirit of Rousseau’s political authority, which is based on sovereignty
Belkacem BENCHAIB

http://journals.lagh-univ.dz/index.php/ssj/article/view/3995

Who Are Executives and what are their roles? The concept of executives has faced numerous difficulties in definition, much like other concepts commonly used in sociology. These difficulties arise from the nature of the concept itself, as well as the temporal and spatial contexts in which it has emerged. Additionally, the methodological approaches to studying this concept are often marked by a lack of adherence to the principles of scientific methodology. However, the term "executives" generally refers to those individuals with advanced scientific training, high competence, and skills that enable them to occupy significant positions within an organization. These positions provide them the opportunity to make important decisions, distinguishing them from others and granting them a special significance due to their ability to innovate, create, and improve. Their objectives are often distinct, particularly in their capacity to lead change, address complex and unforeseen problems, and proactively identify areas of deficiency. As such, the role of executives is multifaceted and complex, encompassing planning, oversight, support, problem-solving, leadership, development, organization, and more. This study is a modest attempt to shed light on some of these aspects.
Noureddine BASTI, Saida BENYAMINA
