Sheikh Ahmed Ben Bouzid Kousiba and His Educational and Reformist Role in the City of Laghouat 1919-1994
Abstract
This research-oriented historical study sheds light on one of Algeria's lesser-known scholars and a distinguished reformist and educational figure, Ahmed Ben Bouzid Kousiba, where he was raised and spent his formative years. Sheikh ahmed played a pivotal role in educational and reformist efforts not only in Laghouat but also in other regions across Algeria. His contributions gained particular prominence ;Our research meticulously traces his pedagogical and intellectual trajectory, both before and after his tenure at the prestigious Ez-Zitouna University in Tunisia. during the colonial era In the country (1830-1962).
In light of the significance of Sheikh Ahmed Ben Bouzid Kousiba educational and reformist efforts in Laghouat and other parts of Algeria, both before and after independence, this article aims to explore and analyze his remarkable contributions in these domains.
