Abstract

This research aims to study the book of Ghanem Qadduri Al-Hamd (Phonological Studies among Tajweed Scholars)، which included revealing the science of Tajweed from the sources of Arabic phonetic studies، relying on the books of Tajweed scholars and the valuable achievements made by Tajweed scholars in phonetic study. It was inferred that the word (Tajweed) was not used in the era of Prophethood، but there are words that were used in the era of Prophethood in the meaning of the word (Tajweed)، such as Intonation، improvement، inking، and embellishment that are used to describe the reading. He argued that the works of the fourth century AH، which represented the stage of emergence of the science of Tajweed، lacked a complete and comprehensive approach، while the fifth century AH was considered the stage of maturity for the science of Tajweed، and it extended to the sixth century as well.

The study of Arabic sounds by later grammarians relied on the opinions of Tajweed scholars in analyzing، describing، and explaining phonological phenomena، just as Tajweed scholars initially relied on the study For grammarians، Qaddouri sought to explain the efforts of Tajweed scholars in preserving the language of the Holy Qur’an from pronunciation deviations، by avoiding hidden melody، and emphasizing giving the letter its right and due. He also concluded that Tajweed scholars followed an advanced approach compared to the approach of ancient scholars in studying sounds، because it is a comprehensive approach to all aspects of phonetic learning، including knowing the origins of letters and their characteristics، and knowing what is renewed for them due to the composition of the rulings It has phonetic additions، such as preferring the use of two terms by Tajweed scholars، namely (jamid and dhaib)، which are also called (jamid and dhaibah) and (dhaibah and dhaibah)، instead of (silent and mutatah) which were used by modern phonetic scholars، and (letters and vowels) which were mostly used by Arabic phonetic scholars. . As for the issue of the occurrence of the dād before the middle letters of the tongue (jū shī)، he presented his opinion clearly، saying: “It seems to me that the matter is not without the possibility of copyists misrepresenting it، because when Sibawayh mentioned the exits، he mentioned the dād after the yā’. Also، those who transmitted his arrangement of the letters were Arabic scholars and scholars. Tajweed arranged the letters in this order( j sh y d)
