Abstract

This paper seeks to study the latest academic research that has been concerned with approaching the history of Middle Sudan during the era of the Fodi family, and from the results reached, we refer to the success of Othman Ibn Fodi, similar to the reform movements witnessed in the Islamic countries of the East and the Maghreb in the nineteenth century, in embodying a reform movement in the Haussa country, based on a set of foundations, thus achieving major political successes, the most important of which is the formation of a sprawling Islamic califat whose borders cover the countries of Central Sudan, not to mention The transition of the latter to the stage of political unity and stability in light of the reformist experience, which established unique traditions and references in the systems of government, culture and economy, all of which have Arab-Islamic orientations and dimensions.
