The Popular Poetry in The Region of Laghouat, The Poet Abdellah Ben Kriou As a Model

Abstract

The region of Laghouat is considered as one of the richest regions in Algeria as far as the popular poetry is concerned. It has a rich popular poetry heritage, which makes it the most famous region in that type of poetry. Abdellah Ben Kriou is the most famous popular poet who wrote many excellent poems in which the beauty and the eloquence are obvious with purposeful themes. In these lines we try to discover the poetic creativity of this unique popular poet.
