The Role of the Media in Promoting the Principles of Good Governance to Achieve Sustainable Development
Abstract
The latest technological development of the enormous world has ever known today touched the information revolution all aspects of life in various fields, has become the communication and the media inevitability of absolute human, penetration in all fields of economic, political, social, and even cultural and religious, and is now playing an active role in many areas and the title in a lot of once in power the fourth due to its status and its effective role in the lives of individuals, the role of the latter, which opened the field has emerged clearly after the emergence of new global concepts, among them "democracy, globalization, good governance ..." the freedom of opinion and expression and the need to provide transparency.
Role of the media appeared clearly after the adoption of the principles of good governance, where is the media active strategically within countries, and among the most important roles in this area the role of the media in the paths of sustainable development, which is a bet seeking attainable and maintain, through the role it plays in establishing universal principles of good governance ( transparency, participation, effectiveness, rule of law, response, direction of consensus, accountability, accountability, decentralization, justice, equality, freedom of expression), these principles which are to achieve development mechanisms.
