Abstract

The article talks about the status of women through the Jewish legislation represented in the Five Books of the Torah, especially if we know that the positive Jewish legislation despised and belittled women and even cursed and blamed them for the sin of Eve, and considered them impure during menstruation and postpartum periods, and even doubled their impurity when giving birth to a female compared to the impurity that affects women if She gave birth to a male, and the Jews viewed the woman as a creature of lesser status than the man. How could the Jew not be created as a woman, and despite their recognition of the woman’s prophecy, she did not participate in religious rituals and her social function was limited as a wife, mother and housewife.
