Abstract

If ‘Discourse’ constitutes the central element of Foucault’s philosophy. The point is that you realize that any book has an implicit and an explicit layer of meaning there of the truth can be revealed.’, it  is then that very duplicity and confusion of the discourse that may have pushed Foucault to alternate between archeology and genealogy in his analysis approach contained in the book Order  of discourse. After the dominance of the archeological approach in the sixties of the last century, the obsession with truth and meaning prompted Foucault in the seventies to invest in the genealogy as an alternative method which originated first in Nietzsche’s book Genealogy of Morals, and it is considered an effective discourse analysis and interpretational technique of various texts, which will continue to be adopted in Foucault’s later works
