Designing Corona Anxiety Scale (CAS) and its Impacts; Egyptian Version
Abstract
The current study aimed to design and construct a comprehensive corona virus anxiety scale used for measuring the degree of anxiety and its after-effects resulted from COVID-19 pandemic. The scale was reviewed for ensuring its external reliability. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was also used to ensure the internal reliability of the scale and survey questions. The alpha coefficient when tested on initial sample (20 individuals), was 78%, indicating the reliability of the scale and its applicability to a large sample for measuring the degree of anxiety toward COVID-19. Then the coefficient was calculated for each axis of the anxiety scale separately and again for all axes together on a large sample (678) individuals and results indicate excellent reliability.
