Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in the Algerian Religious Market - A sociological study of a sample of religious currents in Algeria
Abstract
In the beginning of the nineties of the last century, a number of religious currents emerged in Algeria, notably the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafist movement. However, they differed in the realization of the principle of enjoining good and forbidding evil. This led us to ask the following question: What is the reality of the interaction of the Muslim Brotherhood movement and the Salafist trend The promotion of virtue and the prevention of vice among the young people belonging to them? And try to verify our question will be presented to the test of social reality and will be translated in the form of field interviews, through the approach of the sociology of the interpretation of its leader Max Weber, the hypotheses of our research is as follows: The principle of the command of virtue and the prevention of vice is one of the components of the religious product marketed by the Brotherhood and Salafi scientific, In addition to considering the promotion of virtue and the prevention of vice as a religious thing reflected on the behavior of social interaction between members of society and advocates, and caused by radical readings of violence qnd extremism during the black decade in Algeria
