Burnout Among Secondary School Teachers - A Longitudinal Study

Abstract

The study aimed to know the evolution of burnout among teachers of secondary
school, in two different periods. The Maslach Burnout Inventory was passed on
teachers Belong to three secondary schools,in March 2012 on a sample of 118 teachers.
The same scale was passed on the same secondary schools in April 2017 on a sample
of 124 teachers.
The study found that there was a regression in burnout among the 2017 teachers
compared to 2012 teachers in the total of Burnout scale, and there was a regression in
Depersonalization and Personal Accomplishment subscales , while there was no
significant difference in Emotional Exhaustion subscale , The study also showed the
contribution of females in reducing The level of Burnout in all Burnout subscales, while
the level of Burnout in males decreased only in Personal Accomplishment subscale.
