Cultural background and its relationship to the perception of psychological distress among shrine visitors
Abstract
This study aims to reveal the relationship between the cultural context and the
representation of mental disorders, according to the variables of gender and grade
level. To this end, the questionnaire was applied to the cultural context and
representation of mental disorders in a sample of (317) undividu visitors of the holy
places. the results showed that:
- There is a statistically significant relationship between the cultural context and
the representation of mental disorders according to the variables sex and grade.
- There is a statistically significant relationship between the cultural context and
the representation of mental disorders according to the gender variable.
- There is a statistically significant relationship between the cultural context and
the representation of mental disorders according to variable grade level.
