The role of environmental education in addressing the problem of environmental pollution

Abstract

Environmental education occupied an advanced position in the list of proposed
solutions to solve the environmental pollution problem Because they provide
individuals with the knowledge of environmental, skills and attitudes that help them to
act positively. The international conferences held in this regard in Tbilisi since 1977
affect the guiding principles and advice in environmental education, explaining its
objectives, means and methods calling for its adoption as a strategy to preserve the
environment because it can not be protected either by laws nor by technological
developments if we do not share a principle of education to prepare the individual to
environmental education. Any society with the diversity of its components will be
affected by this education to raise environmental awareness, which permettrais create
positive attitudes and helps address the problem of environmental pollution
