Abstract

The oases in the Algerian desert today are no longer what they were in a recent past!... Their urban and social reality today leads us to stand on an arena of deep and accelerating transformations. Its reality now proves that 80 percent of the population of the desert has become urban today, this fact It was not consecrated except during the last decades, through what the cities of the south knew of an urban movement that these cities did not witness during the thousands of years of their existence.
