Mechanisms for Implementing Knowledge Management to Improve the Efficiency of Physical Education Teachers in Primary Schools in Najaf Governorate
Abstract
Knowledge management stands out as one of the most important modern management methods that has proven its effectiveness in developing performance and ensuring continued success. It is not limited to collecting information, but also includes the processes of generating, organizing, using, and disseminating knowledge, which contributes to supporting decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning. It also leverages the experiences and skills of individuals through teamwork and brainstorming sessions, thus enhancing creativity, quality, and competitiveness. Based on this, the importance of this research lies in studying the mechanisms for implementing knowledge management to improve the efficiency of physical education teachers in primary schools in Najaf Governorate. The teacher is the cornerstone of the educational process, hence the need to study the mechanisms for implementing knowledge management in primary schools in Najaf Governorate. The aim is to provide a suitable environment that enables physical education teachers to utilize modern knowledge and apply it to improve their professional performance, ensuring they keep pace with developments and achieve quality in the educational process. This study also aims to determine the current state of knowledge management in primary schools in Najaf Governorate and the extent of its application in the field of physical education. This study aimed to identify the competency level of physical education teachers in terms of professional aspects (educational, training, health, and administrative). Given the nature of the topic and the study's objectives, the researcher employed a descriptive approach using survey and correlational methods. A census sample, representing 100% of the population, was selected. A pilot study sample of 10 teachers (7.7%) was randomly selected, while the main study sample consisted of 120 teachers (93.3%). The results demonstrated that knowledge management provides a fundamental framework for improving the competency of physical education teachers, contributing to professional development and enhancing the quality of the educational process. The study recommends establishing specialized knowledge management units within primary schools in Najaf Governorate, responsible for organizing and coordinating knowledge processes.
