The Role of Strategic Agility in Enhancing Competitive Advantage in Palestinian Public Universities
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the role of strategic agility in enhancing the competitive advantage from the perspective of employees in Palestinian public universities. The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data, and the study followed the descriptive correlational approach. Data were collected from a stratified random sample of 263 individuals. The results indicated that the level of strategic agility was high, as was the level of competitive advantage. The results also showed that there was a statistically significant effect of strategic agility on competitive advantage, with "shared responsibility" being the most influential dimension in achieving job engagement, followed by "core capabilities," then "strategic sensitivity," and finally "clarity of vision." The study concluded with several recommendations, the most important of which are : intensifying training programs and activities that promote collaboration and teamwork among various administrative and academic staff ; integrating strategic analysis into the periodic planning processes of the university to facilitate rapid response to changes ; and focusing on continuously improving the quality of academic programs and linking them to market and societal needs.
