Abstract

The aim of this study is to present the cognitive theory interpretations ; represented
in :the theory of formative constructivism of Piaget Jean ,the social theory to Vygotsky
Lev and cultural theory of Bruner Jerome ,about child’s acquisition of cognitive
competencies ; especially competencies related to mathematics as being the most
important field of knowledge where the child recruits all his cognitive earnings those
relating to :reading , writing and counting. And when assessing the child’s
competencies of the child in math we evaluate at the same time his competencies in:
language, arithmetic, logic, lateral, temporal –spatial orientation, mental images and
representation...etc.
