Abstract

The written press has become an important means and one of the most influencing means on human thought and behavior, especially in light of the changes that have taken place in the cultural, economic, and political fields. One of the expressive patterns in newspapers and plays an essential role in drawing the attention of readers, which present the news and treat the conversations in a comic way and a kind of irony. This caricature left a special impression on the audience, which led to the interest in this media material by various groups at all levels, so that the illiterate category found its purpose in these cartoons, which compensated for what could not be understood from articles and other journalistic investigations.
