Abstract

It seems to us that the contemporary child lives an imposed media fatalism, as he does not choose the media tool that he supports, nor can he reject it of his own free will, nor criticize its contents. It is as though the child lives in a media dependency, as well as media chaos and spontaneity in the aftermath of parents’ monitoring and follow-up, and we also believe that media technology, especially television and then the computer, seduces the child and attracts him, so it seizes him in shaping his personality, unlocking his capabilities, expanding his perceptions and talents, and enriching his linguistic dictionary, but it is on that. It has negative effects that can be noticed after investigating them, through the psychological effects that affect mental abilities. Little attention is paid to them, and this study wanted to discuss them.
