Abstract

Many countries succeeded in Algeria before the Islamic conquests, including the Phoenicians, the Romans, the Vandals and the Byzantines, but it was never able to influence its inhabitants or subjugate them to its sway, unlike the Islamic conquest, as they were convinced of its meanings and what it called for, and since that time Algeria was known as the abode of immigration and the stable of faith, and it forms its legacy cultural and religious foundations on sound Islamic foundations, thanks to which it was able to withstand all the attempts of desecration that targeted it, so the Algerian society used to return to it every time its social structures were destroyed to face new conditions, starting mostly from the institution of the mosque, which later received special attention from all parties The problem of religious discourse in Algeria in order to gain legitimacy and popular support for their discourses, thus the mosque acquired an ideological dimension in addition to its educational and social guiding devotional dimension.
