Difficulties of speech therapy practice in the public and private sectors from speech therapist’s point of view
Abstract
The current study aimed to detect difficulties facing the speech therapists in speech therapy practice from a speech-therapists point of view, those employed in private and state sector. The comparative approach has been adopted in this study.
The researchers created a questionnaire which was distributed to 36 speech therapists work in private and state sector from number of Algerian states.
The analysis of these results confirmed that, there are differences in the difficulties that faced the speech therapists between state and private sector workers in favor of the public sector with regard to treatment and the professional environment, and differences in favor of the private sector with regard to detection, diagnosis, and the relationship with parents, while there are no differences about the difficulties of relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
