The role of corporate governance in valuing information in order to adopt the strategy

Abstract

Corporate governance covers all the organizational mechanisms that are intended to define
and influence leadership decisions or in other words, govern and define their discretionary space.
While the information system is an organized grouping of resources (Hardware, software,
personnel, data and procedures) used to group, classify, process and disseminate information on a
given environment. Thus, corporate governance which is regarded as a mechanism for the
valorization of the quality of information is a strategic tool to reduce the information asymmetry
between the company and investors and a strategic approach in order to diagnose and anticipate
future action.The aim of this Communication is first to present general concepts on governance of
the company, then demonstrate how to make a link between corporate governance and information
system and finally highlight the contribution of governance to strategy formulation by the use of
strategic information. To do this, we used a methodological approach based on a bibliographic
research.
