Abstract

Women in the ancient world contributedgreatly to the building of civilizations. Theyworked on twolevels: the first is the life of the home and the second is the participation in religious and politicalmatters, ie the service of society. Througharchaeologicalevidence and somereferences in the writings of ancienthistorians, , Although the classicalwritingsdid not givethem the right of description and came in a lot of myths, but the inscriptions and drawings of the mosaic has appeared in a differentway of women in those sources, although the status of womenappearfrom the roletheyweredoing, The familywas the first cell in society. It was a mother, an educator, apriestess and a goddess. It alsohad a political position. It led to politicaltaskssuch as leadership, governance and participation in wars.
