Abstract

The Arabic letter manifested by forms and characteristics called letters’ visual
features. Thus ,the Arabic letter takes different forms depending on its position in the
word(initial, medial-final-isolated unligated) and different spatial forms; ascender,
descender, and linear forms. Similarly the Arabic alphabetic determined by the
presence or the absence of the diacritical dot that spells above or below a letter. These
characteristics occupya specific spatial field. In this study, we examined the effect of
these visual features of Arabic letters on word recognition. Thus, we will test the impact
of visuo-spatial dyspraxia on the identification of Arabic letters and word recognition in
children with cerebral palsy
