Abstract

After the events of 8 May 1954, the efforts of the Algerian elite of political parties and
reformist associations working on the reform of the individual Algerian based on the basic
elements derived from the Islamic Sharia and was designed to prepare for a revolution to
recover the entity and identity stolen where awakened consciences and minds that absorbed
the need to return to the armed and organized resistance on the basis of knowledge and
intellectual, and guided by objectives and equipped means to combat the French occupation,
within the framework of North Africa. These bases were represented in the texts and charters
of the National Liberation Front, the statement of the first of November 1954.
