Ensuring the quality of higher education in Algeria - at the institutional level - possibilities and requirements

Abstract

Quality assurance (QA) in higher education (HE) is a subject that fits into the general context
of the relationship between “university training” and “quality”, in the context of current international
trends of (HE).The main objective of the present study is first, to clarify the reality of higher education
in Algeria with regard to these trends. Then, try to check out the level of adequacy between the
Algerian university resources and QA requirements, from the point of view of members of the QA cells
at a local level, and members of the national committee for QA system implementation in higher
education at a national level.
