The effect of some demographic variables on factors associated with poverty among Palestinian women in Hebron Governorate
Abstract
The study aims at investigating the effect of the demographic variables on
the aspects that connected with poverty among Palestinian women in Hebron
district. It also tends to reveal the differences among these women with respect to
social status، job، and place of residence and education level. The researcher used
a random sample. The questionnaire، designed by the researcher، was
implemented on the subjects in the second semester 2014 after being sure from its
validity and reliability using a pilot sample of 42 women. The content analysis
methodology was used to deduct and to induce some examples from some holy
Quran verses and Islamic Tradition in which we can see the role of women in
society. The researcher also used the description analyses methodology. The study
showed that the sample responses with regard to reducing the extent of poverty
was in general moderate (2.26 and SD of 0.35). Results also showed that there was
no statistically significant differences on (a= 0.05) on the total degree of social،
economic and
psychological environment of the Palestinian women in reducing the degree of
poverty attributed to the variables (social status، job، place of residence and
education level). ). Results also proved that there was no statistically significant
differences on (a= 0.05) among the women with regard to social status and
educational level and the total degree of the social، economical and psychological
environment in reducing the degree of poverty. In the light of these findings، the
researcher concluded some samples
