The economic burden of diabetes and its relationship to quality of life A case study on a sample of patients with diabetes -Blida state as a model-

Abstract

This scientific paper aims to reveal the relationship between the economic burden of people living with diabetes, which is one of the most chronic diseases in Algeria, especially in the world in general, and the quality of life. The researcher studied a case on a sample of people with diabetes consisting of five cases in Blida State, selecting his research vocabulary using the occasional inspection method procedures, and using the corresponding technique to collect data and information.

The study found that the achievement of professional stability by the person with diabetes through a job position where he feels job security, guarantees him a decent wage and grants him privileges to the social security institution results in higher degrees of quality of life The more special and moral material support diabetes sufferers receive from their family members by providing them with health care, attention and assistance in the provision of medicines and foodstuffs, the more quality of life is achieved.
