Fake news in a crisis context - An analytical study of fake news via websites during the Corona crisis
Abstract
This study aims to know the role of social networking sites, in spreading fake news by analyzing models for news about the spread of the Corona virus in various traditional and new media platforms.
The analytical study concluded that all fake news was answered by the official authorities, and we concluded that intimidation and excitement are the most important methods that were employed in fake news, in addition to bias and the adoption of false and fabricated data and images. As for the goals of spreading fake news about the Corona virus, they varied between political, economic and commercial.
