Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pivotal role of national economic intelligence policies in driving the transformation of Algerian cities toward a "smart city" model, within the framework of Algeria's Vision 2030, The importance of the topic lies in the importance of economic intelligence as a strategic tool for enhancing competitiveness and guiding sustainable urban development in the digital age, The study explores how data, information, and knowledge derived from economic intelligence systems, can contribute to formulating effective urban policies to improve quality of life, enhance economic efficiency, and provide an innovative environment for city dwellers.

The study concludes that Algeria has taken steps toward adopting economic intelligence and smart cities, However it faces challenges that require enhanced coordination between various agencies, the development of digital infrastructure, and a shift in mindset toward a culture of innovation and strategic vigilance, The study provides an in-depth insight into the challenges and opportunities available and proposes mechanisms, to enhance synergy between economic policies and smart city approaches, with a focus on the importance of good governance, technological innovation, and human capital development.
