Improve the independence of a child with Down syndrome

Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of the psychological counseling program and the parents in improving the independence of the child with Down Syndrome. A sample of 12 parents and 06 children with Down syndrome was chosen by the National Society for School and Vocational Integration of children with Down syndrome. Using the measure of functional independence. The results of the study indicated that the parental guidance program used to improve the independence of the child with Down Syndrome was effective
