Abstract

The importance of this study lays at a time when the Algerian University is witnessing an
advancement and an openness in various fields, and what this openness has resulted of
change on social, cultural and security conditions for university students, and the shift in the
system of social values and standards, and the evolution in the role of the media and
communication, globalization and the revolution in technology, which led to the emergence of
attitudes and patterns socially unfamiliar. The aim of this study essentially is to identify the
university students' attitudes towards the values of citizenship via three independent variables
(gender, age, academic level)
