Abstract

Academic Advising is one of the main pillars of higher education, It aims to help students to adapt properly to the university environment and get the best results by enabling them to take advantage of all the opportunities available to them by providing them with various academic skills that raise their level of educational attainment, and given the importance of academic guidance in the university stage The intervention in which we aim to shed light on the academic guidance in terms of concept, origin and objectives, and then touch on the academic advisor and the tasks assigned to him in the process of academic guidance, and the responsibility of the student in academic guidance, with a presentation of some of the studies Previous on the role and importance of academic guidance and the extent needed, following this descriptive approach because it is best suited for such studies, to conclude some intervention proposals to contribute to the enrichment of research in this area.
