Faculty Attitudes Toward Distance Learning via the Moodle Platform - A Field Study on a Sample of Faculty Members at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Amar Telidji University of Laghouat

Abstract

This study aims to identify the perspectives of professors who use the Moodle platform in the educational process, based on the educational content they provide on the platform, and to attempt to understand their opinions and the difficulties and challenges they face while designing and processing the content, This study belongs to the descriptive analytical studies, as the study used the descriptive method on a purposive sample of professors from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Amar Al-Talidji University in Laghouat. The electronic questionnaire was used as a tool for the current study and was distributed to the sample members via professional email. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program, This study also yielded results indicating that the teacher faces difficulties when creating lessons on the Moodle platform, represented by the multiplicity and repetition of stages, which leads him to spend long hours in front of the computer screen, In addition to students' reluctance to use the platform and their lack of interaction with the course, this data opens the door to further research and studies in the future.
