Chinese policies toward the Uyghur minority / Xinjiang
Abstract
The Uyghur minority is the scene of various Chinese policies since the 1950s, as this minority is trying to coexist within Chinese society, despite the restrictions imposed by the government, and which sees the Uyghur issue as an internal problem related to separatism, extremism and terrorism. Therefore, it takes a set of inclusive policies, by making Uighurs within Chinese society, based on a survey of religious, linguistic and cultural identity.
