Abstract

This research deals with an important issue within the study of Islamic theology. And it is the issue of the Qur’anic texts and the honorable hadiths of the Prophet, whose appearance is understood as similes and embodiment of the Essence of God, as the theological schools differed in deciding this issue; Are these texts understood on their face, so we fall into a contradiction between the sacred Islamic texts? Or do we turn the illusory words of the analogy into meanings that are tolerated by the language and do not contradict the principle of exaltation and sanctification of the Lord? Where the sects, currents, and schools differed in deciding the investigations of the pure Islamic faith, and when looking and meditating in the Islamic arena today, we notice the emergence of a contemporary current, which is the Salafi or Wahhabi current in relation to the founder Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab al-Najdi, and in fact it is only upon scrutiny. As an extension of the Hanbali school, which rejects all those who seek the approach of interpretation and the exchange of similarities in the Noble Qur’an to the arbitrator who acknowledges God’s transcendence of similarity of creatures, and when talking about Wahhabism and its relationship with the Hanbali school, we can only differentiate between the approach of the advanced and the late in deciding these investigations , This work provides an overview of the Wahhabism’s dealing with the texts of the Qur’an and the Sunnah and the extent to which they observe the principle of purification and sanctification of the Essence of Almighty God.
