Abstract

The study aimed to identify teachers' attitudes towards the effectiveness of Darsak platform, and how satisfied they are with the adequacy of their training on the platform and its impact on developing their roles in the learning process in distance learning compared to their roles in traditional 'face- to-face' learning from the point of view of public school teachers in the Southern Shona. To achieve this, follow the descriptive approach, and a random sample of 80 teachers from the Southern Shona was selected.  The study tool was made up of 18 items spread across three areas: ' Teachers' attitudes towards the effectiveness of Distance Learning  Darsak Platform', 'The adequacy of teacher training on the Darsak platform', and the 'Impact of  Darsak platform on the development of teachers' roles in distance learning.' The authenticity and stability of the tool have been verified.

The study found several results, the most important of which is that teachers have positive attitudes towards the effectiveness of Darsak platform in distance learning, but they need training in technology skills in distance learning to develop their roles.

The researcher recommended holding training courses in technology skills in distance learning, and the need to combine face-to-face and distance education as it has become a future necessity.
