the poetic repetition and its argument in the “Meditation on the Face of Revolution” by Ayyash Yahyawi
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the poetics of repetition and its persuasive efficacy within contemporary Algerian poetry. The analysis centers on discerning the recurrent motifs employed by the poet, elucidating their poetic nuances, and elucidating the argumentative vigor imbued through repetition. Consequently, the study seeks to address the following questions: What are the recurring patterns of repetition evident in Ayyash Yahyawi's work? What functions do these repetitions serve? How do they contribute to the aesthetic dimension of the poetry? Furthermore, it explores the ramifications of this stylistic choice on imagery, connotation, rhythm, and argumentation. The expected findings of this analysis include the poet's adept utilization of repetition across its various manifestations, facilitating both semantic elaboration and cohesive thematic interconnection within the poems, thereby directing the recipient's interpretation toward specific thematic trajectories
