The repercussions of speculation in residential real estate: Algeria as a model

Abstract

This article, which falls within one of the axes of our university formative research project (P.R.F.U), examines a current topic of great importance and complexity, which urban sociology studies in Algeria have been neglecting to talk about, namely the issue of residential real estate speculation, which today has turned into a practice entrenched in the housing markets. It casts a permanent and direct shadow over the various interactions of the actors, given the repercussions and repercussions that have a profound impact on the individual and public levels. This study aims at trying to reach an accurate diagnosis of the most important repercussions resulting from the expansion of this type of practices, on the economic, social, spatial and legal fields as well.
