مقاومة يوغرطة للاحتلال الروماني (112- 105 ق.م)
الملخص
تعد حرب يوغرطة مرحلة مهمة من مراحل الاحتلال الروماني لبلاد المغرب، فبعد احتلال قرطاجة سنة 146 قبل الميلاد اصطدم الرومان هذه المرة بمقاومة تزعمها الأمير يوغرطة الذي استطاع تنظيم صفوف الفرسان والجنود النوميد وأظهر شجاعة وحسن تخطيط كبيرين، حيث تمكن من إلحاق الهزائم بالقوات الرومانية في أكثر من معركة، غير أن سلاح الخيانة قلب الموازين في النهاية ورجَح كفة الرومان، وبعد هزيمة يوغرطة وضع الرومان قدما لهم في مملكة نوميديا وضموا جزءا منها إلى أملاكهم، في حين نصبوا على الجزء المتبقي الأمير غودا ( شقيق يوغرطة) والذي كان ضعيفا وخاضعا للرومان، أما الثلث الموالي لموريطانيا فقد مُنح للملك بوكوس الأول مقابل خدماته التي قدمها للرومان بتحالفه معهم ضد صهره يوغرطة.
