Abstract
mart cities are a long-term technical initiative, and it is an entity that depends on an infrastructure represented in information and modern communication technologies, which enables the efficient management of the city. The theory about smart cities in addition to the most important motives and goals for the establishment of smart cities, within its requirements and main dimensions for its development, provided that there is an analysis of a set of experiences and achievements, whether at the global or Arab level, provided that the study clarifies As a result, smart cities have become more than a necessity at the present time, especially in improving the quality of life for individuals, facing social and economic problems and achieving development.
