The impact of bank loans on economic growth in Algeria- Standard study for (1990-2017)
Abstract
This study explores the short- and long-term impact of bank loans granted by the banking system on algeria's economic growth during the period (1990-2017), The study carried out standard and analytical modelling using ardl's self-regression model ARDL, The study concluded that long-term and short-term bank loans have a long-term balance relationship with GDP as an indicator of Economic Growth in Algeria, With the varying magnitude of the impact of long-term loans on short-term loans and the small size of this reversal, Which means that bank credit in Algeria affects economic growth, But it has not been as effective as moving economic activity.
