The reality and challenges of the Algerian banking system in light of the economic reforms
Abstract
The economic policy adopted by the Algerian authorities was mainly dependent on central investment plans from public funds, where financial resources are allocated in an administrative manner, and a central price system is established that does not properly and truly reflect the relative scarcity of production factors, as loans granted to finance the public sector were not It has to do with the market, which led to the weakening of monetary and financial variables, as were the financial variables alone that are taken into account, thus limiting financial planning to the role of banks and making them just a window in the service of public institutions and under the custody of the treasury.
